Texas Legends Defeat the Idaho Stampede 102-96

The Texas Legends defeated the Idaho Stampede in Boise on Wednesday night 102-96 to improve  to 5-3, good for third in the Western Conference. The Stampede fall to 3-9, the second worst record in the West.

The game had 18 lead changes and 10 ties, in what was a back and forth affair with the Stampede going into halftime with a one point lead. In the second half the Legends turned it on and pulled away for the win.

Tu Holloway led the Legends in scoring with 22 points to go along with five assists. Toure’ Murry chipped in with a double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds.

For the Stampede, Minnesota Timberwolves assignee Tyus Jones had a game high 27 points to go along with six rebounds and eight assists.

Jeff Ayers, who we recently interviewed here at hooptrends.com had a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds.

 

The Texas Legends return home on Friday to face last year’s champions the Santa Cruz Warriors.
