Khris Middleton Prefers to Stay in Milwaukee

Milwaukee Bucks shooting guard Khris Middleton is on his way to a significant pay raise. During the 2014-15 season, Middleton averaged a career high 13.4 points on 46% from the field (40% from beyond the arc), along with 2.3 assists, and 4.4 rebounds-per-game.

After his breakout season, Middleton is set to become a restricted free-agent. According to Gene Sapakoff of the Post and Carrier, Middleton “definitely” wants to stay with the Bucks.

“We have a lot of great pieces with the Bucks,” Middleton said Friday. “If we can stay together, we can do something special.”

Middleton is one of the biggest reasons the Bucks improved their record to 41-41 after a dismal 15-67 record back in the 2013-14 season. He really helped keep the Bucks afloat when the second-overall pick in the 2014 draft Jabari Parker went down with a torn ACL.

Middleton was selected by the Detroit Pistons with 39th pick in the 2012 NBA draft. After playing one year in Detroit, Khris Middleton signed with the Milwaukee Bucks in 2013. He has steadily improved his scoring average each year he has been in the league.
